Waiting on your sweet baby, I quietly whisper to you, "Powerful One, all the choices are yours." And you bravely take the next step...

Pregnancy and birth are a powerful rite of passage - a profound physical, emotional and spiritual experience that can have lifelong effects on your relationships with yourself, your baby and your partner(s). This is a vulnerable time and you may have many questions and fears, receiving so much well-meaning, often conflicting advice. As a doula, I act as an expert guide, blending evidence-based practices with traditional holistic techniques to help you navigate your path.
I have extensive experience in supporting your body's innate wisdom while advocating for your personal choices and preferences. I use my additional training in subjects like integrative nutrition, mindfulness meditation, herbalism and optimal fetal positioning to help you enjoy a healthier, easier birth.
I am a passionate advocate for improved outcomes for birthing families. To that end, I am involved in various projects, including reproductive rights advocacy, creating access to and equity in midwifery care, as well as training and mentoring new doulas. As a community educator, I teach on a variety of topics including holistic reproductive wellness, mindful parenting and newborn care, and LGBTQ+ competency for healthcare providers. I have been nationally recognized for my work as a doula and community organizer, and am a member of HealthConnect One's Birth Equity Leaders Academy 2018-2019 class. I am proud to serve my community as an Birth Justice Doula Trainer and Mentor at Southern Birth Justice Network. In 2020 and 2021, I served the Pittsburgh area as a Community Midwife.
I received my doula training from DONA International and have attended over 800 births since 2000. I was honored to be a recipient of a scholarship from Lactation Education Resources in 2013, through which I became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. I hold a degree in Women + Gender Studies from Florida International University, and am a traditionally trained Community MIdwife. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.
